Design Features

The front suspension includes independent, lever-type MacPherson spring with telescopic shock absorber, twisted coil springs lower wishbone and stabilizer bar.

Front suspension
Fig. 7.1. Front suspension: 1 - telescopic shock absorber; 2, 3 - bolts; 4 - anti-roll bar; 5 - the lower arm with the ball; 6 - the support of the lower arm; 7 - knuckle; 8 - Front stabilizer; 9 - a support strut

The main element of the front suspension is a telescopic shock absorber 1 (Fig. 7.1), combines the functions of a telescopic element, the guide mechanism and the damping element of the vertical oscillations of the body relative to the wheel.

Telescopic front shock absorber
Fig. 7.2. Telescopic front shock absorber: 1 - a protective cover; 2 - a nut rod racks; 3 - the top support of a rack; 4 - the top bearing cup spring; 5 - the top lining of a spring; 6 - a spring front suspension; 7 - a protective cover; 8 - Buffer compression stroke; 9 - the lower spring pad; 10 - the case of the strut

Telescopic shock absorber assembled twisted coil spring 6 (Fig. 7.2), polyurethane buffer 8 of the compression stroke and the top support strut 3 and bearing assembly. The upper support is attached to the cup four nuts mudguard body and due to its flexibility allows the swing rack moves in the suspension and dampens vibrations, but installed in the upper thrust bearing support makes it possible to rotate the front with the steered wheels.

Stub front suspension
Fig. 7.3. Knuckle Front suspension: 1 - the screw of fastening of a brake disk; 2 - a nut; 3 - Disc; 4 - hub; 5 - pin; 6 - a protective casing; 7 - a lock ring; 8 - bearing; 9 - knuckle

The knuckle pressed double-row angular contact ball bearings 8 (Fig. 7.3) gated on the inner rings is installed with an interference fit wheel hub 4. The bearing nut is tightened on the shank 2 of the hinge housing outer drive wheels during operation is not regulated.
The subframe is attached to the body with rubber supports and silent blocks.
The lower part of the steering knuckle 7 (see. Fig. 7.1) is connected with the lower ball bearing suspension arm 5, and the upper part is attached to the strut assembly with two bolts 2 and 3.
The lower arm is fixed to the front suspension cross member body of the car with two silent blocks, pressed into the body of the lever and its support 6.
Anti-roll bar 4 mounted thereon the split rubber bushings connected to the front suspension crossmember two straps and a telescopic strut front suspension - stabilizer 8 with ball joints.
Checking the technical condition of the front axle on the vehicle described in the section "Checking the technical condition of the front suspension parts on the car".
