Repair the generator

You will need: the key "24", a screwdriver with a flat blade and Phillips, barbs, soldering iron tester, stripper for bearing the rotor.
1. Remove the generator from the vehicle (see. "Removing and installing the generator").

17. Remove the rotor from the front cover.

NOTE
Inspect slip rings of the rotor. If they are found teases, risks, scratches, wear tracks from brushes, polish the ring.

18. Look at the front cover of the generator. If you feel the rotation of the bearing clearance between the rings, rolling or jamming of the rolling elements, protective rings are damaged or have streaks of grease, replace the bearing. If there are any cracks in the cover, especially in places of fastening of the generator, replace the cover of the new.

22. Press out the front bearing from the cover.
23. Fitting the mandrel of suitable diameter new bearing into the cover by applying a force to the outer ring.
24. Check ease of rotation of the bearing from the rotor slip rings. If you feel the rotation of the bearing clearance between the rings, rolling or jamming of the rolling elements, protective rings are damaged or have streaks of grease, bearing should be replaced. For this Xpress bearing puller to the shaft and install a new rotor by applying a force to the inner ring.

25. Check rotor winding resistance tester, connecting it to the slip rings. The resistance should be about 3 ohms. If the tester shows infinity, then open in the windings and the rotor should be replaced.
26. Check rotor winding circuit on "weight". To do this, connect the tester probes to the pole of the rotor, and in turn to the contact rings. Measured resistance should be infinite, otherwise replace the rotor.

27. Check stator windings for open, turn the tester by measuring the resistance between the windings of all the findings. If the measured resistance will tend to infinity, replace the stator.
28. Check the stator winding insulation to the housing. For this...

30. Check the rectifier unit. To do this, connect the tester probes to the conclusion phase stator coil and air cooler diodes ...

32. Similarly, the other two check diode oscillator circuit.
33. Assemble the generator in reverse order, with the following:
- Before installing the generator rotor brushes drown electronic voltage regulator and lock them in this position by inserting a pin into the hole cover (such as a paper clip). After assembly, remove the pin;
- Align the front cover of the generator and the stator housing on earlier made labels.
