Replacing brake pads Rear brake



Minimum thickness of the friction brake linings is 1.0 mm.
Replace pads in the following cases:
- The thickness of the friction linings is less acceptable;
- The surface of the lining zamaslena;
- Friction pad loosely connected to the base;
- In the linings deep furrows and chips.

WARNINGS
Do not use gasoline, diesel fuel or any other mineral solvents to clean the brakes.
Replace both pads in brake mechanisms of both rear wheels.
Unacceptable replacing the front and rear pads to each other and between the left and right wheel - this can result in uneven braking.

You will need: a key for the wheel nuts, pliers or a flat-blade screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver blade, folding pliers.
1. Turn on the set and I transmission bearings bars under the front wheels.
2. Make sure the parking brake lever was lowered all the way down (the car disinhibited).
3. Remove the wheel.
4. If the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir is located on the top label, or close to it, pump out the liquid from the tank. Otherwise, the replacement pads it can be splashed.
5. Remove the brake drum (see. "Replacing the brake drum").

6. Remove spring with expander strap mechanism for automatic adjustment of the gap ...
7. ... and remove the spring from the brake pads.

8. Use a screwdriver or a beard inset top coupling spring ...
9. ... and remove it.

A WARNING
When using pliers or a screwdriver, be careful. We recommend working with special pliers clamping springs.

10. Similarly, remove the lower return spring.
11. While holding the shank of the support post, click on the plate, turn it 1/4 turn ...

So look parts rear wheel brake (picture shows part of the brake mechanism on the left side c) 1 - Front brake shoes; 2 - spacer strip; 3 - the top coupling spring; 4 - spring expander strap; 5 - expander lever; 6 - Rear brake shoes; 7 - support legs pad; 8 - spring plate; 9 - the bottom coupling spring.

17. Remove the expander bar mechanism of automatic adjustment of the gap and the front brake pads.
18. Remove the locking washer and the support from the finger of the expander arm ...

19. ... and remove your finger from the expander arm pads.
20. In place of the friction of the front and rear brake pads on the brake shield, apply a refractory grease brake.

A WARNING
Details spacer strips and left brake knob interchangeable with the corresponding parts of the right brake mechanism - do not confuse them!

21. Sliding pliers, squeeze the brake cylinder pistons and brake pads set in reverse order, while establishing a mechanism for automatic adjustment of the spacer strips at the position it was in before removal.

A WARNING
Note that when utaplivanii piston in the cylinder increases the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir. If necessary, pump out the liquid.

22. Install the brake drum.
23. Adjust the clearance between the brake pads and the drum by pressing 10-15 times on the brake pedal. Each time you will hear the regulator. As soon as the clicks stop, set the gap.
24. Replace the wheel. Check ease of rotation.
25. Similarly replace brake pads brake of the other wheel.
26. After installing the brake pads adjust parking brake system (see. "Adjusting parking brake").
