Check radiator cap



Check the coolant level.
Remove the radiator cap.
Clean the seating surface radiator cap and the upper radiator hose.

For leak testing radiator cap compressometer to connect the fuel filler expansion tank (Fig. 2.212).

NOTE
When connected to the radiator cap Compression apply water or coolant in the engine cover seal.

Create radiator specified pressure.
Pressure: 127 kPa.
Make sure that the pressure does not drop. Otherwise, check for coolant leakage.
- If coolant leaks - at the top of the nozzle of the hose, replace the upper hose and hose clamp.
- If a leak of coolant - the main part of the radiator, replace the radiator.
