Checking oil pressure
ATTENTION A hot engine and oil can cause severe burns. Before the test, stop the engine and wait until the engine and engine oil have cooled. |
Remove the lower protective cover of the engine. Remove the oil pressure gauge.

Screw the special tool into the hole the oil pressure sensor (Fig. 2.286). Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature. Install the specified engine speed and record the readings. If pressure differs from specified, find the cause and repair or replace damaged parts if necessary.
NOTE The oil pressure depends on the viscosity and temperature. |
The oil pressure at a temperature of 100 ?� C: 330-380 kPa. Stop the engine and let it cool. Remove special adaptation.
ATTENTION Contact the sealing material on the working of the oil pressure sensor can lead to the conclusion of the sensor system. Make sure that the working part of the oil pressure sensor is not sealing material. |

Apply kremnievoorganichesky thread sealant to the oil pressure sensor, as shown in Figure 2.287. Install the oil pressure gauge. Tightening torque: 12-18 Nm. Install the protective cover of the engine. Start the engine and check for oil leaks. If you have a leak, identify the defective part, repair or replace it.
