Checking the ignition timing

NOTE
In normal cases, the ignition timing is not adjustable. To check the ignition timing requires the presence of a specialist unit and WDS or an analogue thereof.

Turn off electricity consumers and warm up the engine.
Start the engine.
Keep the engine speed of about 3000 min -1 until the fans start to run the cooling system.
Release the accelerator pedal.
Wait for the shutdown cooling fans.
Check the ignition timing (WDS: PID SPARKADV) norm, using the WDS or equivalent.
Ignition timing is about 10 ? before TDC.
Make sure that the ignition timing is increased simultaneously with the engine speed.
