Light sensor

Location of the light sensor
Fig. 1.64. Location of the light sensor 1 - sensor

The ambient light sensor also performs the function of the rain sensor in an automatic wiper control system (Fig. 1.64). If the wiper switch knob is set to ?AUTO? (automatic mode) and the ignition is switched on (ignition switch is in the ?ON?), the wiper control is carried out automatically. Be careful not to pinch your hand or fingers, as this may result in injury or damage to the wiper.
If the handle of the central light switch is set to ?AUTO?, then when you turn the ignition switch to the "ACC" (auxiliary power consumers) or ?LOCK? (locking) headlights, other exterior lighting and lighting control panel will be turned off. You can increase the delay for the headlights, other exterior lighting and lighting control panel, the lower the level of ambient light by adjusting the sensitivity of the sensor.

ATTENTION
Do not obstruct the light sensor (not stick tape or labels on the windscreen in the area of the sensor). Otherwise, the sensor will not operate properly.
