Check the operation of the parking brake

Tighten the parking brake lever firmly. Make sure that the stroke of the lever of a predetermined number of clicks (check ratchet clicks audibly).

The stroke length of the lever: 7-8 clicks.

Check if there is curvature, damage or cracks in the parking brake lever assembly and replace if necessary.

Check for wear and tear on cables and equalizers. In case of malfunction replace the faulty components.

Check switch Parking brake warning. In case of malfunction replace the faulty components.

Check to see if the components are deformed in contact with other parts. In case of malfunction replace the faulty components.
