Checking the clutch



Pull the parking brake lever so that the wheels are locked.
Start the engine and let it run at idle.
If not depressed the clutch pedal slowly engage reverse gear.
Lock the gear lever in a position where the gears will engage.
Slowly depress the clutch pedal.
Stop the clutch pedal when the gear noise stops (the position of the clutch).
Measure A (the distance from the position to the position of the clutch pedal fully depressed) and the clutch pedal.

Ensure that the distance A and the clutch pedal comply with established standards (Fig. 3.5).
Distance 'A': 20 mm.
Pedal stroke: 140 mm.
