Replacing engine coolant

Remove the drain plug of the radiator. (see. Fig. 2.211)
Drain the coolant into a container.
Flush the cooling system with water.
Wait until draining the system.
Tighten the radiator drain plug.
Fill the tank with coolant up to the mark FULL.
Fully install the radiator cap.
Start the engine and let it run at idle to activate the cooling fan.
After the engine warms up, do the following:
1. Run the engine at 2500 min -1 for 5 minutes.
2. Run the engine at 3000 min -1 for 5 seconds and then let it run at idle.
3. Repeat the first two steps several times.
4. Run the engine at idle for 1 min.
Stop the engine and let it cool.
Remove the radiator cap.
Check the coolant level. If the level is low, add coolant.
Install the radiator cap.
Check for coolant leaks.
If fluid leaks, repair or replace the radiator cap or radiator.
