On vehicles equipped with manual transmission, used dry single plate clutch diaphragm type (Fig. 9.1). Clutch rope.
| Fig. 9.11. Use a hammer and dolly to install needle bearing: A = 25-28 mm
|
The gap between the needle bearing and the end surface of the crankshaft (distance A in Fig. 9.11) is 2.5-2.8 mm.
Tightening torques, N ??? m Bolt release lever and fork ..... 11 Bolts pressure plate ..... 22-27 Nut wheel drive shaft to the hub ..... 160-240 Flywheel bolts ..... 98-105 Nut stabilizer bar ..... 12-18 Bolts knuckle to the shock absorber ..... 95-119 Bolts to the knuckle ball joint ..... 44-55 Wheel nuts ..... 90-120
Check the operation of the clutch Before performing any operations with the clutch is necessary to perform multiple control operations to determine if there is a malfunction in the clutch. With the engine running and the brake, press the clutch pedal, without bringing it about 125 mm and the lower limit of travel of the pedal, and a few times to move the shift lever back and forth. If the transfer switch smoothly, then the clutch is operating properly. If gear shifting is difficult, so the clutch is not completely removes the pressure plate and check the draft. Inspect the clutch pedal bushing for wear and tightened.
The clutch pedal Withdrawal For easy access, remove the cover panel of devices and duct under the dashboard.

Remove the clip and disconnect the upper end of thrust clutch pedal (Fig. 9.2). Remove the pinch bolt and nut pedal, disconnect the cable and remove the clutch pedal and pull the assembly out of the car. Setting Before installing abundantly lubricate bushing pedal and hook for rope lubricant lithium-based. Position the foot, screw the coupling nut and bolt and reconnect the cable grip. Connect traction pedal. Check the height of the installation and the clutch clearance, adjust if necessary. Adjust the length of the auxiliary spring by turning the nut on the thrust, while the distance between the spring seat and an auxiliary seat will not be in the range 335-127 mm. Install the air duct.
Clutch Cable Withdrawal

|
In the engine compartment, unscrew the lock nut, adjusting nut, remove the washer from the end of the rope and pull the cable out of the squeezing lever (Fig. 9.3). Pull the cable out of the bracket on the gearbox. Remove the band clamp and bracket cable. Remove the nuts to the cable bulkhead. In the passenger compartment for easy access, remove the cover panel of devices and duct under the dashboard Disconnect the cable from the clutch pedal and pull it out of the car. Setting Before installation, lubricate the contact surface of the roller and squeezing lever. Insert the cable through the bulkhead and connect it to the clutch pedal. Screw the nuts securing the cable to the bulkhead. Plug the cable into the release lever and install the band clamps and brackets. Place the washer and screw the mounting nut and lock nut. Adjust the gap clutch pedal. Install the air duct and instrument panel trim.
Clutch Repairs Withdrawal Remove the gearbox. Mark the position of pressure plate to the flywheel, so that when assembled it can be set to the initial position. Use the special tool to align or screwdriver handle to support the clutch for lifting the pressure plate. Using a special tool or screwdriver, the teeth of the flywheel prevent it from turning. Gradually loosen the bolts diagonally clutch assembly, turning each bolt by half a turn as long as the action of a spring and bolts can be unscrewed by hand.

|
Remove the pressure plate, clutch disc maintaining that it has not dropped (Fig. 9.4). Handle clutch plate with caution not to touch the surfaces of the pads and take him aside.
| Fig. 9.5. Remove release bearing
|
Disconnect the return spring from the hook clutch fork, rotate the release lever and remove the clutch (Fig. 9.5). Remove the bolt clutch fork and remove the fork and the lever assembly. Visual inspection Electric vacuum cleaner or a clean cloth to wipe the dust from the clutch cover. Do not use compressed air as breathing dust containing asbestos is harmful to health. Inspect the pressure plate for signs of damage and wear of the diaphragm spring, scratches, scoring or discoloration (indicating overheating) surface, check for signs of damage or deformation of the casing. Minor surface defects may be removed by rubbing with fine sandpaper, but the pressure plate must be replaced by new one in case of any doubt about its condition. Inspect the surface of the flywheel for the presence of non-uniform contact with the clutch plate, indicating that improper installation or damage to the diaphragm spring clutch. Check the surface for any Prigara, fissures, cracks or other signs of wear. If necessary, remove flywheel and process it on the machine to restore the surface. Polishing the surface of the flywheel can be made with fine sandpaper.
| Fig. 9.6. Measuring the wear of the friction linings clutch plate
|
Inspect the friction linings clutch disc for contamination with oil, grease or any other substance and, if necessary, replace the clutch disc. Check clutch disc for wear by measuring the distance from the rivet head to the surface of the lining. Replace the disc if the wear of the friction linings has reached the limit value shown in Fig. 9.6. Inspect the clutch disc for deformation, deterioration, weakening of the rivets and springs, damage the hub splines. Temporarily install the clutch disc on the gearbox output shaft and check the smooth landing, the absence of chipping and wear slots. If there is doubt about the status of the clutch disc, replace it.
| Fig. 9.7. Check smooth rotation of the bearing clutch
|
| Fig. 9.8. Checking the slip clutch release bearing on the gearbox input shaft
|
Check clutch release bearing for wear and make sure it rotates smoothly without abnormal noise and glides on the gearbox input shaft (Fig. 9.7, 9.8). Except in the case of very small run of the car, we recommend the replacement of the bearing to the next each time the clutch is removed. Inspect the clutch cover, clutch lever and a return spring for wear, cracks, deformation, damage and metal fatigue, replacing items as necessary.
| Fig. 9.9. Check smooth rotation of the needle bearing on the end of the crankshaft
|
| Fig. 9.10. Using inertial puller to remove the needle bearing
|
Check the needle bearing on the end of the crankshaft, to make sure that it rotates easily and smoothly under the force only your finger (Fig. 9.9). If necessary, replace the bearing, remove the inertial stripper and setting a new hole in the crankshaft with a mandrel or a corresponding segment of the tube diameter and the hammer (Fig. 9.10). Before installing the new bearing grease and install follow control the distance given in the figure. 9.11. Setting When you install the new drive plate or a press disk of coupling remove from them anticorrosive protection. When installing the drive plate, make sure that its friction linings has not got even a small amount of oil. Therefore, before you install a clean cloth, wipe the mounting surface of the flywheel and the pressure plate, clutch disc set with clean hands. Before installation, lubricate the clutch, input shaft splines and splines of clutch plate lubricant based paste Moly. Be careful to avoid getting lubricant on the surface of the friction clutch, flywheel and pressure plate. Hold the clutch disc with special centering tool or a round rod, set the clutch assembly, aligning the holes in the casing of coupling with guide pins of the flywheel. When reinstalling the previously removed clutch pressure plate check that the labels put before removal aligned. Tighten the clutch so that the clutch plate has been pressed, but at the same time, he could still move sideways. Using a special holder or old gearbox output shaft, you align the clutch disc onto the flywheel.
A WARNING If the clutch disc is not centered, it is not possible to install the transmission. |
After centering the drive plate gradually tighten diagonally plate mounting bolts to torque. Remove the mandrel of the slave drive. Set the clutch lever, the release fork, spring and clutch. Install transmission.
