The system of airbags and seat belt pretensioners





On some cars the airbags for the driver and passenger of the right front seat, serving in a collision of a vehicle of passive safety.

The airbag for the driver is mounted in the steering wheel hub (Fig. 9.50), the passenger - in the area of the instrument panel storage compartment (Fig. 9.51).
The airbag control unit for the driver and the passenger is under the rear of the center console dashboard. When installing airbags only for driver control unit is located in the steering wheel hub.
Before working on the instrument panel, steering column, front seats, centralized airbags and seat belts, and before welding or bodywork disconnect centralized airbags and seat belts.
