Removal, installation, inspection of ceramic glow plugs



The order of execution of works

NOTE
Remove and install the ceramic glow plugs straight. Remove damaged when installing components.

Remove the engine cover.
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Remove the plugs with ceramic glow plugs.
Remove the ceramic glow plugs with nozzles.
Installation is performed in reverse sequence, with the following.
Before installing, thoroughly clean the deposits from the holes in the cylinder head.

NOTE
Do not grease the threads of the cylinder head and ceramic glow plugs.

Screw the ceramic glow plugs via the nozzle into the cylinder head by hand.
Then tighten the ceramic glow plugs. Tightening torque 12 Nm

ATTENTION
After installation, before the first starting the engine, check the resistance of the ceramic glow plugs.

Setpoint max. 1 ohm.
If the received data is greater than a predetermined value - replace defective ceramic glow plug.

NOTE
If a defective ceramic glow plug is snapped, you need to remove all the debris out of the engine, or the probability of damage to the engine.
