Removing external SHRUS



Clamp drive shaft in vice with jaws preventing damage.
Turn back the boot.

Remove CV joint from the drive shaft by a beard A (Fig. 3.99).
Barbs must be installed exactly at the star-shaped holder of the hinge.

Pressing on CV joint driveshaft
Press in the shaft blows a plastic hammer until it engages the locking ring.

With the beard, remove the boot from the hinge.
Remove the retaining ring.
Remove both the collar and slide the boot in the direction of the outer CV joint.
