Removing shaft seal flange



Remove antinoise isolation.
Place a drain pan.
Mark the position of the nuts, which lower arm bolted to the strut.
During reassembly provision as possible should be recovered.
Remove the lower control arm bolts from the strut.
Squeeze the drive shaft of the gearbox. The procedure is described in the implementation.

Right side
Right driveshaft lift as high as possible and secure in this position.
This is not to damage the protective coating of the shaft, it is possible to use plastic cable ties.

NOTE
The car is not lowered.

Left side
Press the brake pedal. At this time the assistant should turn away a bolt of the left drive shaft.
Remove the left drive shaft.
A clean cloth, cover the hole for the drive shaft to the transmission orobke.

Carefully drill a hole in (2-4 mm in diameter) in the outer tin ring with O-ring (Fig. 3.95).

NOTE
Lubricate the drill bit in order to stick to the drill cuttings.
Drill only through the tin ring C, otherwise you can damage the transmission.

The drill hole O-ring screw the self-tapping screw with a diameter of about 4 mm.

NOTE
Self-tapping screw the screw is not very deep, so as not to damage the bearing located there (Fig. 3.96).

Remove the O-ring with a puller and adapter.
Remove the cloth and carefully clean the gearbox and the hole for the drive shaft.
The gearbox and the hole for the drive shaft must not get metal shavings, chips, if necessary, remove the vacuum cleaner.
If you have removed only the metal ring O-ring, you need to carefully remove the remnants of the sealing ring with a screwdriver.
