Towing

General information
The tow rope must be flexible to avoid damage to both vehicles. Only use of the synthetic fiber rope, or similar elastic materials. But safer to use a hard tug.
Always make sure that you do not cause harmful great traction and at the same time there was no jerks when towing. When towing a car on the edge of an improved dirt road there is always the danger that the shoulder will be overloaded and destroyed.
Before attempting to start the engine by towing should if possible use the battery of another vehicle as a booster battery to start the engine - see. Previous page.
Both drivers should be aware of the peculiarities of driving when towing. Inexperienced drivers should not be behind the wheel of any one or the other vehicle.
When using towline driver of the towing vehicle must be in the starting and changing gears particularly smoothly release the clutch.
The driver of the towed vehicle must ensure that the tow rope was constantly stretched.
Both cars should be included appropriate lighting equipment and met the other requirements for towing in accordance with the "Rules of the Road".
The ignition must also be included in order not to be blocked by the steering and could, if necessary, turn on the direction indicators, horn, windshield wipers and washer.
Servo braking system performs its function only when the engine is running, so the engine is switched off during braking must be much stronger to press the brake pedal.
Since the engine is not running, power steering does not work when cornering greater efforts are needed on the steering wheel.
In the absence of oil in a mechanical transmission or a special liquid in an automatic transmission is necessary to tow the vehicle with only a driving wheel.
When towing a distance of over 50 kilometers is necessary to put up the front wheels.
Tow rope or hard tug should be connected only to the specially provided towing eye.

After towing, unscrew the eye and lay with onboard tools. The towing eye must always carry with them. Replace the cover.

Towing with a view to starting the engine
Towing the purpose of starting the engine is not desirable for the following reasons:
- When a tow is probable collision with the tow vehicle;
- When towing a vehicle with a gasoline engine unburned fuel may get into the catalytic converter and damage it.
If you need to tow the car to start the engine, the driver of the towed vehicle must adhere to the following rules.
Before you begin towing enable 2nd or 3rd gear, depress the clutch pedal and keep it in a depressed state.
Turn on the ignition.
When both vehicles are in motion, release the clutch pedal.
Once the engine has started, depress the clutch pedal and turn off the transmission, to avoid the collision with the tow vehicle.
Starting a vehicle with an automatic gearbox by towing because of design features is not possible.
