Check the condition of the clutch pressure plate. Traces generate at the ends of the compression spring must be less than 0.3 mm (Fig. 8.10).

Check the connection between the pressure plate and clutch cover. Not allowed scratches and missing or damaged rivets (Fig. 8.11).
Check the pressure plate for cracks, signs of overheating and wear surfaces.
Using a steel ruler and flat dipstick, check the flatness of the working surface of a press disk. Nonflatness press disk should not exceed 0.2 mm.
Check the condition of the friction surface of the flywheel for cracks, signs of overheating and wear surfaces.
Check the condition of the friction linings and the clutch plate in the presence with them of traces of oil or mechanical damages replace the clutch disc.
Measure the thickness clutch disc. If the thickness of less admissible or if heads of rivets are close to the work surface, or replace the clutch disc.
Check the condition of the release bearing which should rotate easily, smoothly and quietly, while it should no backlash. The working surface of the bearing influencing a press spring should be smooth, without cracks, corrosion or wear.
Faulty clutch can be determined without removing it from the car, which is necessary for the engine, press the clutch pedal. If you press the clutch pedal there is noise, then clutch is faulty and must be replaced.
