The correct position of the elements of the exhaust system



Inserting the exhaust system carried out at a cold engine.
Loosen the clamp bolts.

Measurement of the distance between the exhaust pipe of the muffler (1) and the rear bumper (2)

Move the rear muffler forward so that the distance between the exhaust silencer and the rear bumper in the free state is 40 mm (Fig. 5.35).

When properly installed, the rear silencer on vehicles with front-wheel drive four-cylinder diesel engines offset distance muffler suspension must be equal to 12 mm (Fig. 5.36).

When properly installed, the rear silencer on vehicles with front-wheel drive six-cylinder diesel engines, the offset distance of the front suspension of the muffler must be 5-9 mm (Fig. 5.37).
If you want to carry out the adjustment, loosen the clamp bolts and move forward exhaust system so that the corresponding muffler suspension was loaded, and the offset distance suspension corresponded to a desired value.
