Removing and installing front wheel drive



Front wheel drive is removed to replace them if damaged or to replace the hinges. In addition, it drives the front wheels have to be removed for access to other units.
You will need: the key "19" face head "32", a torque wrench, a key for wheel bolts, flat-blade screwdriver, stripper of spherical hinges, mounting blade.
1. Loosen the nut of the front wheel hub.
2. Loosen the wheel bolts, then lift the front of the car and establish on reliable support.
3. Remove the wheel, remove the hub nut ...
4. ... and remove the thrust washer by prying with a screwdriver.
5. Remove the spring retainer nut finger ball joint, loosen the nut and press out the stripper finger (see. "Replacement of the ball joint shock absorber").
6. Slightly pull the strut to the side and out of the hub shank outer constant-velocity joint.

HELPFUL ADVICE
If you can not remove the stem joint effort of the hands, beat him out of the hub with light hammer blows through the wooden prorate.

NOTE
If the actuator possible leakage of the oil from the gearbox, so prepare a container to collect the oil.

7. rested tire lever to the transmission housing through a wooden spacer, press out the internal hinge of the drive side gear ...
8. ... and remove the front wheel drive assembly.
A WARNING
Replace retaining ring shank internal hinge a new ring each time the drive with the car.

9. Install the drive and the removed parts in reverse order of removal. Finally tighten the hub nut on the car standing on the earth, the values given in Appendix 1.
10. After tightening the Lock the nut with a beard and a hammer.
11. The second drive is replaced by a similar manner.
12. Once all the details, check the oil level in the gearbox and top up if necessary (see. "Checking and topping up the oil in the gearbox".
