Removing and installing steering wheel



You will need to face head "22".
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Adjust the steering wheel to the position corresponding to the straight-ahead position of the vehicle.
3. Remove the driver airbag module (see. "Removing and installing driver's airbag").
4. Loosen the nuts of the steering wheel to the steering shaft, hold the steering wheel from turning.

A WARNING
Wheel nuts completely loosen, or hands when removing the steering wheel can cause injury in the event of sudden disconnection of the steering shaft as the steering wheel is spring loaded.
HELPFUL ADVICE
Lock the steering wheel from turning, you can use the locking mechanism of the protective device ignition. To do this, remove the key from the ignition and turn the steering wheel until the fixing shaft anti-theft device. After loosening the nuts of the steering wheel, disconnect the protective device by inserting the key into the ignition, and reinstall the steering wheel straight.

5. sharply punches knock the steering wheel to the steering shaft splines ...
6. ... completely unscrew the nut ...
7. ... and remove the steering wheel.
8. Lock the slip ring airbag from turning pin of suitable diameter.
9. Remove the spring mounted under the steering wheel.
10. Install the steering wheel in the reverse order of removal.
