Replace the lash clearance in the valve mechanism
Tappet clearance in the valve mechanism are self-adjusting support push levers that transmit the force from the camshaft to the valves, and the function of eliminating gaps in the drive. The work is based on the principle of hydraulic incompressible engine oil, continually filling with the engine hydraulic lifters inner cavity and moves it to the plunger when a gap in the actuator valve, ensuring constant contact with the valve actuator lever cam camshaft without clearance. This eliminates the need to adjust the valves for maintenance. Almost all the fault of hydraulic diagnosed by the characteristic noise issued by the timing at various engine operating modes. For replacement of hydraulic cylinder head can not be removed from the engine. It is enough to remove the camshaft. However head gasket then carefully replaced with a new recommended, since the camshaft and a cylinder head attached to the block by the same bolts and bolt retightening the cylinder head gasket may not ensure a good seal. 2. Remove the pressure lever and mounted on the valve stem biscuit.
NOTE If there is no need to replace, cracker can not shoot. |
3. Remove the socket head of the block tappet.
NOTE Tappet head is installed in the socket with a slight interference fit and can be easily removed without the use of any tool. |
4. Grease a new tappet and nest in the cylinder head with engine oil and install the tappet into the slot. 5. Similarly, replace the rest of the lifters. 6. Install the cylinder head and the details of the timing in the reverse order of removal. NOTE After replacing the lash when you first start the engine for a short time can be noisy until the tappet is not to pump over. |
