The vacuum brake booster shown in Fig. 6.7.
Failure of the vacuum amplifier significantly increases the force on the brake pedal, which adversely affects driving. To repair the vacuum amplifier requires a special tool, so it is advisable to replace it in the collection.

WARNINGS
When removing the master cylinder is not pinched and damaged brake lines.
Do not spill the brake fluid on the details of the car. It can damage the paintwork of the body. If the liquid gets on the paint body wash immediately with water.
To prevent the Strait of brake fluid hose connections, wrap a cloth or tissue.

Withdrawal
Remove the air filter.

Disconnect the connector brake fluid level sensor (Fig. 6.8).
Remove the stopper brake fluid reservoir and a syringe or other device to remove liquid from a tank.
Disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder.

A WARNING
Take action against the brake fluid of the surrounding parts.

Remove the brake master cylinder with vacuum booster, unscrewing the nuts securing it (Fig. 6.9).
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake servo (see. Fig. 6.9).
Disconnect the pushrod from the brake pedal.
Remove the nuts securing the brake servo.
Check the operation of the brake booster check valve
Verification is done on the check valve installed in the vacuum hose.
Remove the brake booster vacuum hose.

NOTE
The check valve is installed with an interference fit in the vacuum hose by adjusting labels.

Check the operation of the check valve by using a vacuum pump.

A WARNING
In case of failure of the check valve assembly, replace it with the vacuum hose.

Install the brake pedal assembly, tighten the nut with a fillet (nuts brake servo) and the pedal bolt.
Turn the brake.
Adjust the height of the brake pedal on the floor and the free travel.

The bracket is formed caliper and wheel cylinder that bolts are tightened. The movable bracket is bolted to the fingers, which are installed in the openings of the guide brake pads. In the cavity of the brake cylinder piston is mounted with the sealing ring. Due to the elasticity of the ring supports the optimum gap between the pads and the disk.

Remove the bolt caliper lower guide pin, turn up and hang the caliper to the car body on the wire or other method (Fig. 6.23).
Remove the brake pads.

When removing the brake pads do not press the brake pedal (Fig. 6.24).

Technical condition
Check the brake pad wear and replace them if necessary.
Replace pads in the following cases:
- Thickness of frictional overlays of less admissible;
- The surface of the lining zamaslena;
- Friction pad loosely connected to the base block;
- Linings have deep grooves and chips.
Check block damage or deformation.
Nominal thickness of the friction linings of brake pads
9 mm, the maximum allowable for the wear - 1 mm.

WARNINGS
Replace pads in brake mechanisms of both front wheels simultaneously. It is not permitted for replacing internal and external pads to each other, as well as between the left and right wheels. This can result in uneven braking.
When replacing brake pads check the pads for deformation. The retaining spring guide pins, replace or install a new reusable spring by clearing them from contamination.

Setting
Install the retaining spring pad.

Install the pads in the retaining spring (Fig. 6.25).

NOTE
Pads installed so that the wear indicator on the terminal side of the piston facing upwards.

After installing the pad before you move the caliper to the working position, drown the piston inside the cylinder with special tool 09581-11000 (Fig. 6.26).

Install the new brake pads with pads (Fig. 6.27).

Screw the guide pin bolt caliper and tighten it with a torque wrench (Fig. 6.28).

Disconnect the brake hose (Fig. 6.29).

WARNINGS
Do not spill the brake fluid on the details of the car. It can damage the paintwork of the body. If the liquid gets on the paint body wash immediately with water.
To prevent the Strait of brake fluid hose connections, wrap a cloth or tissue.

Remove the bolt cylinder.

Remove the caliper and brake pads from the calliper (Fig. 6.30).
Remove the calliper mounting bolts to the steering knuckle.
Remove the calliper.
Technical condition
Check the following:
- Support for wear, damage, cracks;
- A piston for dust, damage, cracking and wear of the outer surface;
- Plug and guide pin for damage and dust;
- Springs and protective caps pad for damage;
- The calliper for damage, dust, cracks and wear.

A WARNING
Do not use sandpaper to clean the surface of the piston cylinder.
All rubber parts are replaced with new ones.

Check brake disc with calipers and the indicator (Fig. 6.31).
Nominal thickness of the brake disc (checked using calipers) must be 19 mm, the minimum allowed for the wear - 17 mm.
The difference in the thickness as measured at various locations disc should not exceed 0.01 mm.
The axial run-out of the working surface of the disk (checked using dial dial indicator) must not exceed 0.04 mm (see. Fig. 6.31).

NOTE
Using a micrometer, the thickness of the brake disk check at eight points spaced approximately 10 mm from the edge of the disc in increments of 45 ?�.
Determine the difference in thickness of the disk as the difference between the largest and smallest thickness.
To measure the axial run-out of the working surface of the disk secure dial dial gauge approximately 5 mm from the edge of the disc and turn the dial to 360 ?�.

Determine the axial runout of the working surface of the disk as the difference between the highest and lowest values of the heartbeat.
Installing the brake
Installation of the brake mechanism spend in reverse order, with the following.
Do not allow grease or oil to the working surfaces of brake pads and discs.
Tighten bolts to torque the brake.
Connect the brake hose to the hydraulic cylinder brake installing new seals.
Bleed the brakes.
Disassembly and assembly of the brake mechanism
Dismantling
Remove the dust cover of the piston.

Removal of the piston cylinder with a source of compressed air (to prevent damage to the piston when the outlet of the cylinder on the caliper wooden ledges gasket)

Remove the piston from the cylinder, the cylinder having submitted compressed air (Fig. 6.32).

WARNINGS
When pushing the piston with compressed air from a blow Watch your fingers.
Do not spray the brake fluid.

Use a screwdriver to remove the cylinder piston o-ring, being careful not to damage the surface of the cylinder.
Assembly
All parts except the brake pads and linings, rinse with isopropyl alcohol.
Install the O-ring of the piston in the cylinder, apply a pre-ring lubricant for rubber parts.
Grease for the rubber parts in the caliper bore, the outer surface of the piston and the piston case.

Install a protective cover on the piston as shown in Fig. 6.33.
Get flanging piston cover into the inner groove of the caliper and move the piston in the caliper (see. Fig. 6.33).
Lubricate rubber parts for the outer surface of the sleeve and direct-conductive pin into the hole for pin and bushing in a support in the toe cap and the cap sleeve.

Get flanging of the cap in the groove of a support (Fig. 6.34).
Install the brake pads.

NOTE
Do not let any grease on the running surfaces of the brake disc and pad.

Remove the spring and lever mechanism of automatic adjustment of the gap between the drum and shoes (Fig. 6.37).
Remove the rack guide spring washers, spring guide pads and rack guide spring (see. Fig. 6.37).
Push the brake pads and remove the adjustment mechanism (see. Fig. 6.37).

Remove the upper and lower locking spring pads, disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever (Fig. 6.38).

Check the internal diameter of the brake drum (Fig. 6.39).
With the help of the indicator check radial runout of the brake drum.
Nominal diameter of the brake drum, mm:
cars without antilock brake system ..... 180
vehicles equipped with anti-lock brakes ..... 203.2
Maximum permissible diameter of the brake drum, mm:
bezantiblokirovochnoy vehicles brake system ..... 182
vehicles equipped with anti-lock brakes ..... 205.2
Maximum permissible radial runout of the brake drum of 0.05 mm.
Check the thickness of the friction brake linings.
Nominal thickness of the friction linings of brake pads should be 5.14 mm, the maximum allowable thickness - 1 mm.

Check the fit of the brake pads to the drum (Fig. 6.40).
Check the outer surface of the wheel brake cylinder for wear or damage.
Check shield brake for wear or damage.

Apply universal grease SAE J310, NGLI No.2 in the contact Brake colo-dock and shield of the brake mechanism, as well as the contact of brake pads and the lower support (Fig. 6.41).
Connect the cable to the parking brake lever.
Install the brake pads and spring guide.
Establish a mechanism for automatic adjustment of the gap between the drum and shoes and shoe return spring.
Install the lever and spring mechanism for automatic adjustment of the gap between the drum and shoes.
Install the brake drum and several times fully tighten the parking brake system.

A WARNING
Do not allow grease and other contaminants on the working surface of the brake drum.

Before installing the brake drum, check the outer diameter of the brake pads (Fig. 6.42) (if installed blocks).

The outer diameter of the brake pads vehicles without antilock brake system (drum diameter of 7 inches) must be 179,5-179,0 mm; vehicles equipped with anti-lock brakes (drum diameter of 8 inches) - 202,2-201,7 mm.
Adjust the gap between the pads and the drum by pressing on the brake pedal with a force of 10 kg more than 20 times.
Disassembly and reassembly of the brake cylinder
Remove the brake pads.
Disconnect the brake pipe from the cylinder.

Remove the wheel cylinder (Fig. 6.43).

Remove the protective caps of pistons (Fig. 6.44).
Remove the piston and the seal of the piston (see. Fig. 6.44).
Remove the return spring (see. Fig. 6.44).
Before assembling the wheel cylinder, check:
- Cylinder and piston for wear, damage and dust;
- Cylinder body for damage and cracks;
- The bearing surfaces of the pistons and pads for wear;
- Spring piston to reduce stiffness.
Reassembly is the reverse order.

NOTE
Before assembly, wash the cavity of the cylinder and the internal parts of isopropyl alcohol.
Apply a sufficient amount of brake fluid to the pistons and seals the cylinder wall.
Always replace seals and protective caps with new ones.

A WARNING
Make sure that from the bleeder not dropped the ball.
