Device
Hyundai Motors vehicles are equipped with a circulating cooling system. For the coolant is a centrifugal pump. The engine cooling system consists of a cooling jacket, a radiator with electric, centrifugal water pump, thermostat and hoses. The cooling system operates with a separate expansion tank. Coolant circuit has a thermostat control. While the engine is cold, the coolant is circulated only in the cylinder head and cylinder block and the heat exchanger. As the engine warms up the thermostat opens the large cooling circuit. The coolant begins to be fed continuously operating pump through the radiator cooling system. The coolant passes through the radiator downward while passing between the plates cools the radiator air. When the coolant temperature is between +92 ... +97 ? C, the thermal switch includes the fan heatsink. The electric fan driven by a motor and runs as long as the coolant temperature drops below +84 ... +91 ? C.
ATTENTION The fan and radiator can turn on the ignition off. Because of the heat in the engine compartment, it can happen a few times. |
Due to not constantly running fan increases net engine power and reduces fuel consumption. Unpackaged coolant thermostat has a temperature-sensitive solid filler. The radiator cooling system bladed aluminum, with plastic tank. Coolant is poured into the system through the surge tank filler pipe, which tube has an inlet and outlet valves.
Technical condition Check the pipes and water hoses for cracks, damage and reducing the flow cross section. If necessary, replace defective parts.

|
Insert O-ring into the groove at the end of the supply pipe, moisten the O-ring and connect the coolant supply line to the engine block (Fig. 2.173). Make sure you have the yellow tags on the supply hose and connect the hose to the yellow mark the end of the supply line with a yellow label.
NOTE Do not apply oil or grease on the sealing ring of the supply line. Supply line must be inserted into the slot in the cylinder block to the stop. Remove the O-rings are not reused and must be replaced with new ones. |
