Withdrawal
Drain the coolant so that its level was below the thermostat.
Remove the inlet of the cooling system and the gasket.
Remove the thermostat.

Check

Place the thermostat in hot coolant or water and check that the temperature of the thermostat valve opening corresponds to the nominal value. Replace if necessary (Fig. 2.183).
Valve opening start temperature: 82 ?� C.
Valve opening temperature: 95 ?� C.
The valve stroke (with the full opening): 8.5 mm.

Setting
Check the thermostat valve flange landing in the nest thermostat housing. If the thermostat is not installed properly, it will cover the lower part of the rib in the transfer tube, causing a malfunction of the thermostat.
Install outlet pipe with a new gasket.
Fill in fresh coolant.
