Checking the oil level in the gearbox Check gearbox oil leak. Check the oil level in the gearbox by removing the filler plug. If the oil is dirty, you need to drain the oil and pour a new one. Remove the oil filler cap and check oil level finger. The oil should be level with the bottom edge of the filler plug (filler plug hole). If the oil level is below the specified oil, top up the oil before it is leaking out of the hole, then install the oil filler plug. Change the oil in the gearbox, if it is dirty or not has an appropriate viscosity.
Changing the oil in the gearbox Recommended transmission oil: Hypoid gear (HP Gear Oil), GL-4 classification API, viscosity SAE75W-90. By car, mounted on a level surface, remove the drain plug and drain the oil from the gearbox.
Replace the new gasket and install the drain plug (Fig. 3.31). Tightening torque drain plug: 30-35 Nm. Remove the oil filler plug and fill with new oil up to the level at 5-9 mm below the lower edge of the filler plug (filler plug hole). Fuel capacity transmission: 2.15 liters. Tightening torque filler plug: 30-35 Nm.
Replacing the oil seal drive shaft
With a special tool (mandrel 09431-21200) easy blows install a new oil seal drive shaft in the gearbox (Fig. 3.34). Lubricate the oil seal lip with gear oil. Recommended transmission oil: Hypoid gear (HP Gear Oil), GL-4 no classification API, viscosity SAE75W-90.
Replacement of a cable drive speedometer Install the adapter in the instrument cluster and attach to it a new cable of a drive of a speedometer.

The rubber sleeve so that the cable sleeve and the projecting portion are horizontal, as shown in Figure 3.35.
ATTENTION Cable drive the speedometer should be designed to match the cable bend radius of 150 mm or more. |
| Fig. 3.36. Installation tip of a cable drive speedometer
|
Transmission is necessary to insert the tip of a cable of the speedometer in the gearbox and tighten the nut (Fig. 3.36).
ATTENTION If the speedometer cable is not connected properly or is unreliable, then the speedometer will be incorrect and abnormal noise occurs. |
