Removal and installation of the front shock absorber



The front strut assembly

Withdrawal
Remove the front wheel.

Remove the brake hose bracket from the front strut assembly to remove the models with ABS wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle and disconnect the sensor from the front of the rack (Fig. 4.16).

NOTE
Do not apply significant force when disconnecting parts.

Remove the three nuts damping support-pillar (top) (Fig. 4.17).

Unscrew the front strut to knuckle (bottom) and remove the rack assembly (Fig. 4.18).

Setting
Before installing the front strut assembly, ensure clean surfaces connection details.
Tighten the following parts following the specified torque.


Connect the brake hose bracket to the front rack models with ABS, set the wheel speed sensor to the steering knuckle and connect the sensor cable to the front of the rack.
