Removal, check and installation of the lower control arm
Withdrawal Remove the front wheel. Remove the cotter pin, remove the nut on the drive shaft and remove the washer. Loosen the nut on the ball joint lower control arm to knuckle nut do not remove completely. Remove the two screws on the front of the rack to the steering knuckle (bottom). Pull the wheel hub out of the car and separated from it by drive shaft.

|
With a special tool (09568-34000), disconnect the ball joint of the lower arm of the lower arm (Fig. 4.26). Temporarily install the front strut bolts to the steering knuckle (bottom). Remove the nut stabilizer. Remove the two screws on plugs "A" and ?G? of the lower arm. Remove the lower control arm assembly.
Setting
When tightening the mounting stabilizer, holding the ball joint from turning a wrench (14 mm) and tighten the self-locking nut (Fig. 4.27).
Replacement of protective covers and the ball joint of the lower arm

|
Using a flat screwdriver, remove the protective cover from the ball joint of the lower arm (Fig. 4.28). Remove the retaining ring.
| Fig. 4.29. Extract the ball joint of the lower arm
|
With a plastic hammer, beat out a ball joint of the lower arm (Fig. 4.29).

|
With a special tool (09545-11000) press in new ball joint in the lower arm assembly (Fig. 4.30). Install retaining ring.
With a special tool (09545-21000) Establish a protective cover (Fig. 4.31).
Replacement of the plug ?G? of the lower arm

NOTE Fitting the sleeve ?G? lower arm, placing it at an angle, as shown in Figure 4.34. |
Check Check rubber bushings for wear or deformation. Check the lower arm in the absence of bending or cracking. Check the dust cover ball joint for cracks or damage. Check all bolts for deformation and damage.
Check the torque of the finger of a spherical support of the lower arm (Fig. 4.35). In the presence of cracks or breaks a protective cover of the ball joint, replace the lower arm ball joint assembly. Several times shake a finger of a spherical support of the lower arm. Measure the torque pin of the ball joint of the lower arm. Nominal value: 3.5-4 Nm. If the torque exceeds the upper limit of the nominal value, replace the lower arm ball joint assembly. If the torque is less than the lower limit of the nominal value, a re-installation of the ball joint if there is no binding and excessive backlash pivot pin.
