Check the radiator cap for damage, cracks and deterioration (wear, etc.) (Fig. 2.308).
Check the radiator cap for damage, cracks and deterioration of the gasket material (loss of elasticity).
Connect the plug to the device to check the radiator cap.

Connect the pump to check the radiator cap

With the help of a pump build up pressure until the termination of the deviation gauge needle (Fig. 2.309).
Radiator cap is OK if the pressure gauge needle for 10 shows the working pressure is higher.
