Overview

The charging system consists of a battery, a generator with built-in voltage regulator, control lamp discharge the battery and wiring. The generator set rectifier unit composed of six diodes (three positive and three negative), passing through which an alternating voltage is converted into a constant. Constant voltage is applied to the output "B" of the generator
In addition, the charging voltage outputted generator regulated system maintain a constant level of battery charge.

The components of the generator
Fig. 7.18. The components of the generator

The main components are the generator rotor, stator, rectifier unit, brushes, bearings and pulley for the drive belt from the crankshaft (Fig. 7.18). In the brush holder fixed built-in electronic voltage regulator.
