Removing and installing engine and gearbox assembly



Withdrawal
Remove the battery.

Removing the air duct of the air filter

Remove the air duct of the air filter (Fig. 2.64).
Disconnect:
- Beam engine wiring (alternator, starter, etc);
- The throttle position sensor;
- Switch on the power steering pressure, gauge-switch of pressure of oil;

- Reversing lamp switch (Fig. 2.65);
- Solenoid valve lever, start switch prohibition;
- Coolant temperature sensor;
- The ignition coil and the switch (power transistor);
- Valve control of idling;
- Absolute pressure sensor and temperature;

- Oxygen sensor (Fig. 2.66).
Drain the coolant.
On models with automatic transmission disconnect hoses of system of cooling the hydraulic fluid.

NOTE
When disconnecting the hose pre-mating marks to install when connecting hoses to its original position.

ATTENTION
Be careful when disconnecting the hose, do not spill oil or other liquid. Stop disconnected tubes or hoses to prevent foreign material from entering.


Removing the upper radiator hose

Remove the upper and lower radiator hoses from the engine, and then remove the heat sink assembly (Fig. 2.67).
Disconnect a wire of "weight" of the engine.

Brake booster vacuum hose

Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (Fig. 2.68).
Disconnect both hoses (inlet and outlet) heater on the engine side.

Cable accelerator pedal

Disconnect the cable from the accelerator pedal of the engine (Fig. 2.69).
Disconnect the main fuel hose and fuel return hose EVAP from the engine.
Disconnect from a transmission cable of a drive of a speedometer.

On models with automatic transmission disconnect a cable transmission control on models with manual transmission disconnect a cable clutch (Fig. 2.70).

Disconnect both hoses from the power steering pump (Fig. 2.71).

In the engine compartment, remove the mud shield the steering mechanism and unplug the steering shaft (Fig. 2.72).

NOTE
Mark the relative position of the universal joint and steering shaft.

Raise the vehicle and remove the front wheels.

Remove the brake caliper knuckle. Hang the caliper at the front on the wire (not for brake hose) (Fig. 2.73).

Remove the lower bolt the rack, remove the bolt (Fig. 2.74).

Drain the oil from the gearbox (Fig. 2.75).

On models with manual transmission remove traction shift control (Fig. 2.77).

Secure on Jacks special adapter and adjust it to the sub-frame (Fig. 2.78).

NOTE
Make sure that all wiring and connectors if control cables are disconnected from the engine and gearbox.

Remove the side support of the engine and PPC support (Fig. 2.79).

Remove the bolts from the subframe (Fig. 2.80).

Putting the engine jack

Remove the drive shafts. Lower the engine and gearbox on the jack, remove the front and rear engine mount (Fig. 2.81).
Remove the engine and gearbox.

Setting
Before installing the power unit, check the integrity of wires, tubes, hoses, etc. Be careful not to damage these parts during installation.

Installing the cushion of a forward support

Replace the front support bracket pad (Fig. 2.82).
The nominal value of the torque support: 50-65 Nm.

Installing a back support pillow

Replace the bracket back support cushion (Fig. 2.83).
The nominal value of the torque support: 50-65 Nm.
Install the engine and transmission assembly to the subframe. With Jacks adjust the position of the power unit with respect to the body.
Establish a support PPC.
The nominal value of the torque support: 90-110 Nm.

Install the engine mount bracket side (Fig. 2.84).
The nominal value of the torque support: 60-80 Nm.
Replace the removed parts.
Fill cooling system and check for leaks fluid.
Fill the PPC hydraulic fluid.
Adjust the control cables and PPC accelerator.
Check the operation indexes and indicators.
