The ancillary drive belts and tensioner

Put the belt on the tensioner pulley and install the tensioner on the engine.

If the tensioner is installed, loosen the screws for the possibility of putting the tensioner seat belt (Fig. 2.203).

Tightening torque fixing belt tensioner: 20-27 Nm.

Put on a belt in the sequence shown below.

Generator - power steering pump - crankshaft - the air conditioning compressor.

Key 16 mm turn the tensioner arm clockwise approximately 14 degrees and put the belt on the guide roller (Fig. 2.204).

Check the belt for damage and correct seating of the belt into a pulley groove.

Timer belt tension should be between the ?�MIN?� and ?�MAX?�. If not, replace the belt (Fig. 2.205).
