Removing and installing rear wheel hub



Withdrawal
Release the parking brake.
Remove the rear wheel.
Remove the bearing hub speed sensor.
Remove the caliper from the support hub and soft wire fix it on the rear strut.

Remove the brake disk (Fig. 3.79).

Remove the hub bolts to the support (Fig. 3.80).
Special tools (09455- 21000), remove the speed sensor.

Remove the nut, remove the bolts and remove a support hub (Fig. 3.81).
Peel back seamed collar nut and remove the nut on the rear wheel hub.
By supporting the outer ring of the bearing, press out the plug of the rear axle.
Special tools (09455- 21000), remove the inner ring of the bearing from the hub.
Special tools (09453- 33000B, 09545-21100) Extract the two sleeves from the support hub.

Check
Check rear wheel bearing for wear and damage.
Check the rotor speed sensor rear hub to the absence of broken teeth.
Check the inner surface of the hub for scoring.
Check the support hub for cracks.

Setting
Special tools (09453- 3300B, 09545-21100) press in the two sleeves in support of a nave.
Apply a thin layer of grease on the multi-function mating surface of the hub and bearing.
Special tools (09221- 21000) press-fit the bearing into the hub.

A WARNING
Do not press-fit the bearing of the inner ring, as this will damage the bearing.
When installing, always use a new bearing.

Screw a new nut with a fillet and hammer in a nut fillet into the groove of the hub.
The special tool (09221-21000) zapressuyte speed sensor.

Install the hub and bearing to guard the rear brake so that the rounded portion of the outer ring of the bearing located on top (Fig. 3.82).

A WARNING
If installation is difficult hub and bearing to guard the rear brake by turning the adjusting screw hand brake, brake pads dissolve.

Tighten the four bolts (see. Fig. 3.80) hub mounting to the specified torque.
Rotate the hub to the bearing elements are falling into place.

Use a spring balance to measure the starting torque for rotation of the bearing

Spring balance to measure the starting torque which must be applied for the rotation of the bearing (Fig. 3.83).
Rated starting torque for rotation of the bearing - 28 Nm.
Dial indicator, measure the mechanical beat of the hub of the rear wheel, which must be 0,008 mm.
