Repairing drive shaft with SHRUS type the DOJ and BJ



WARNINGS
The joints of the drive shaft using special grease. Do not use any other type of grease.
Clamp cover must be replaced by a new one.

Remove collars of fastening of protective covers of hinges of the DOJ and BJ (Fig. 3.52).

A WARNING
Work carefully to avoid damaging the cover.

Flat-blade screwdriver, remove the snap ring, then the body SHRUS DOJ (Fig. 3.53).

Remove the retaining ring, and then the inner ring, case and balls SHRUS DOJ in one piece (Fig. 3.54).
Clean the inner ring, cage and balls SHRUS DOJ without disassembly.

A WARNING
Take care that the balls do not fall out of the housing.
If the balls fall out of the housing, insert them back and fix the inner ring.

Wipe the grease from the slots.
Remove the protective cover of the hinge the DOJ and BJ

WARNINGS
If the dust cover is to be reused to protect the cover wrap the tape drive shaft splines.
Do not disassemble SHRUS V.J.

Check
Check out the drive shaft and the splines for wear, damage, bending or corrosion.
Check BJ hinge on the absence of its water and debris.
Check the inner ring, case and balls joint DOJ for damage, corrosion and wear.

Assembly
To prevent damage to covers, wrap masking tape drive shaft splines (from the joint DOJ).

Install the covers (Fig. 3.55).
Remove the masking tape.
Lay in SHRUS V.J. lubricant CENTOPLEX 278M / 136K in the following amounts:
- In the hinge V.J. - (70 ?� 3) g;
- In the case V.J. - (65 ?� 3), the
Fill lubricant AMBLYGON TA 10 / 2A SHRUS DOJ in the following amounts:
- In the joint DOJ - (65 ?� 3) g;
- In the case DOJ - (40 ?� 3), the

Install the inner ring, case and balls SHRUS the DOJ and secure them with the retaining ring (Fig. 3.56).

Set the drive shaft in the housing SHRUS the DOJ and install the snap ring (Fig. 3.57).

To control the air pressure in the cover of the hinge of a power shaft to maintain the required distance between the clamps securing the protective cover or the length of the drive shaft when tightening the clamps. For a car with an engine of 2.7 liter and manual transmission nominal length of the left drive shaft (Fig. 3.58) is equal to (520,2 ?� 2) mm, right shaft - (539,2 ?� 2) mm.
