Check spark plugs

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For the tip disconnect high-voltage wires from spark plugs.

When disconnecting the high-voltage wires from spark plugs pull the tip of the wire, not the cord, as it may be damaged.

2. Remove the spark plug using the spark plug spanner. To avoid damaging the spark candle key place strictly along the axis of the candle.

Compressed air, clean the spark that will exclude dirt hit in cylinders of the engine after removing the spark plugs.

3. Check the spark plug for the following defects:

  1. damage to the insulator;
  2. worn electrodes;
  3. Nagar;
  4. damage to the gasket;
  5. insulating state at the tip of the spark plug.

4. wire template, check the electrode gap of the spark plug. The adjustment of the gap is carried podgibaniem side electrode. Spark plug electrode gap is important because if too much and too small a size of a spark gap is changed, resulting in reduced engine performance. The gap must always conform to the specifications.

The central electrode in no case can not be bent, as this may cause damage to the insulator and a candle exit out of operation. For podgibaniem side electrode spark necessary to use a special tool.

Electrode spark plug gap: 1.0-1.1 mm

5. Replace the spark plug in the cylinder head.

Torque: 20-30 N ??? m

When replacing the spark plugs Only use original spark plugs.
