Measuring the gap between the inner and outer rotors
Fig. 2.298. Measuring the gap between the inner and outer rotors

Measure the clearance between the inner rotor and the outer rotor using the probe (Fig. 2.298).
If the clearance exceeds the maximum, replace the inner rotor, an outer rotor, or both rotors.
Standard clearance between the heads of the teeth: 0.18 mm.
The maximum gap between the teeth heads: 0.20 mm.

Measurement gap external rotor housing
Fig. 2.299. Measurement gap external rotor housing

Measure the clearance between the outer rotor and the body using a feeler gauge (Fig. 2.299).
If the gap size exceeds the maximum value, replace the outer rotor, the oil pump body or the outer rotor to the housing.
Standard clearance: 0.175 mm.
Maximum gap: 0.20 mm.

Measure backlash oil pump body
Fig. 2.300. Measure backlash oil pump body

Measure the side clearance using a feeler gauge (Fig. 2.300).
If the clearance exceeds the maximum, replace the inner rotor, the oil pump housing and the inner rotor to the housing.
Standard backlash: 0,03-0,07 mm.
Maximum side clearance: 0.09 mm.

Measuring the length of the spring plunger
Fig. 2.301. Measuring the length of the spring plunger

Measure the length of the plunger spring in the free state, using a vernier shtangeltsirkul (Fig. 2.301).
If the length is not correct, replace the plunger spring.
The length of the spring plunger in a free state: 45.94 mm.
