Removal and installation of the vacuum hose (brake booster)



Disconnecting the vacuum hose

Disconnect the vacuum hose connector from the brake booster, by clicking on the tabs vacuum hose connector (Fig. 6.11).

Remove the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold (Z6) (Fig. 6.12).

Detach vacuum hose from the intake manifold

Insert a thin flat-blade screwdriver at the point indicated by the arrow in Figure 6.13, slide the ring down and disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold (LF).
Remove the vacuum hose.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Make sure that the vacuum hose is inserted so that the connection of the vacuum hose touches the ring intake manifold (LF).
Plug the vacuum hose into the brake booster.
Make sure that the vacuum hose is securely installed by pulling on it, and reinsert it into the brake booster.

Make sure that the coil is in the brake booster vacuum hose connector (Fig. 6.14).
