Warning light air bag and seat belt pretensioners



If the system of airbags and seat belt pretensioners on the front seats are in good condition, warning lamp will light up when you turn the ignition switch to ?�ON?� (ignition switched on) or when the starter. Then, after some time, alarm goes off.
If the light stays on, or does not turn on when you turn the ignition switch to ?�ON?� (ignition switched on), then the system is faulty airbags or seat belt pretensioners. In this case, immediately contact a dealer or qualified Mazda. If the warning light indicates a malfunction, airbags or seat belt pretensioners may fail when a traffic accident.
If a fault is detected the system airbags / pretensioners and warning lamp lights up at the same time begins to function audible alarm malfunction. Every minute a beep lasting about five seconds.
Audible alarm fault will run for about 35 minutes.

The driver's seat.
If the driver's seat belt is not fastened and vehicle speed exceeds 20 km / h, the visual indicator will blink and the audible alarm. If you turn on the buzzer and the seat belt is unfastened, alarm will work even if the vehicle speed is below 20 km / h. Buzzer will turn off as soon as the seat belt is fastened or after a set time.

If the seat belt in the front passenger seat is not fastened and the ignition switch is in the ?�ON?� (ignition switched on), the driver and passenger will receive a warning about using a visual and audible alarm. Visual indicator lights above the rearview mirror (Fig. 1.134).
If the front passenger seat belt is not fastened and vehicle speed exceeds 20 km / h, the visual indicator will blink and the audible alarm. If you turn on the buzzer and the seat belt is unfastened, alarm will work even if the vehicle speed is below 20 km / h. Buzzer will turn off as soon as the seat belt is fastened or after a set time.

NOTE
To ensure the normal operation of the load sensor built into the cushion of the front passenger seat, the passenger should not sit on a booster cushion. Otherwise, the load cell will not operate properly. In the presence of the front passenger seat of luggage or pets to safety belt reminder can work and give the wrong signal.

If the seat belts in the back seat is not fastened and the ignition switch is in the ?�ON?� (ignition switched on), the driver and passengers are warned about this by a visual and audible alarm. Visual indicator lights above the rearview mirror (Fig. 1.135).
The switch can be red or green. If the seat belt is not fastened, the red indicator lights. If the seat belt is buckled, indicator lights green. Visual alarms are working, even if the back seat passengers are missing. Audible alarm is activated if unfasten the seat belt.

NOTE
If the seat belts in the back seat will not be fastened within a specified time after the engine starts, all the visual alarms are turned off.
