Opening and closing the bonnet

In order to open the lock the bonnet, pull the handle on the left side of the steering column (Fig. 1.34). The car thus should be moved.

Take the right foot latch and lift the hood (Fig. 1.35).

Grasp the cover on the rack and release the hard stance of the holder. Insert the upper end of a bitter stand in the slot indicated by the arrow, to lock the bonnet in the raised position (Fig. 1.36).
Before closing the hood and inspect the engine compartment, ensure that all filling neck was capped and any foreign objects (eg tools, oil containers, etc.) have been removed from the engine compartment.
Hold the hood in the raised position, lower a stubborn stand and secure it in the holder. Before closing the hood, check that the thrust-hour was recorded in the holder.
Close the hood so that the lock is securely locked.
