The traction control system (TCS)
The traction control system (BSS) improves traction properties of the vehicle and traffic safety by controlling the torque developed by the engine braking and slipping wheels. If the system detects a CBE wheelspin, it gives the command to reduce engine torque and the corresponding wheel brake. This prevents failure of wheel slippage and reducing the force of adhesion to the road surface. This means that on slippery surfaces automatically controlling the supply of fuel to the engine to the wheels so that the torque is lead optimum value which excludes an intensive wheel slippage and loss of strength traction with the support surface.
NOTE In order to turn off the system, BSS, press the switch ?DSC OFF?. |
Operation indicator / warning lamp and traction protivozanosnoy systems. The indicator lights for a few seconds after turning the ignition switch to ?ON? (ignition on). Warning flashes when activated traction control (PBS) or protivozanosnoy system (CCD). If the light stays on, it may indicate a violation of the normal functioning of BSS systems and CCD. This system may not work properly.
NOTE Along with the flashing alarm will be heard faint characteristic noise that accompanies the system and coming from the engine compartment. This indicates normal operation of the traction control. When driving on slippery road surfaces, such as fresh snow, the engine will not be able to develop a high speed, if the system is on CBE. |
