Clutch

Part of the car since 1986 release is equipped with hydraulic clutch. The hydraulic clutch consists of pedal master cylinder with reservoir, pipeline operating cylinder, which actuates the clutch release fork and the release bearing.
Pre-testing should be performed to find out the causes of faults in the hydraulic clutch. First you have to check the fluid level in the reservoir. If you reduce the liquid and add a visual check for leaks throughout the highway system. To verify the completeness of the clutch measure the full stroke of the working cylinder. When you press the clutch pedal rod should extend to its full length.

Height of installation of a pedal of coupling
Measure from the floor of the body to the surface lining the clutch pedal.

Adjusting the position of the clutch pedal
Fig. 15.67. Adjusting the clutch pedal 1 - a bolt limiter; 2 - lock nut; 3 - free clutch pedal; 4 - the distance to the floor with a completely off the clutch

If the result does not correspond to the desired value, loosen the lock nut stroke limiter pedal and turn the bolt stop (Fig. 15.67) as long as the pedal is not located in the desired position (on the car later release bolt limiter can be combined with a switch on the clutch pedal).
Tighten the lock nut.

Free wheeling and height of the clutch pedal is depressed
Hand press the pedal and measure the free stroke (the distance from the starting position before the appreciable resistance go pedal).
If the result is not correct, loosen the lock nut shaft clutch master cylinder and rotate the stem until the desired freewheel.
Check the height of the clutch pedal is depressed (the full height of the clutch).
Tighten the lock nut.

Clutch Master Cylinder
Withdrawal
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
On some vehicles, it may be necessary to remove the rack switch.
Disconnect the hydraulic drive from the clutch master cylinder. Recommended for loosening the union to hold the phone ring spanner that prevents it twisting together with fitting. Pre substitute vessel or enclose rags as when disconnecting the tube may leak hydraulic fluid.

A WARNING
Do not spill the brake fluid on the paintwork of the car, with its impact lost its luster.

Fasteners clutch master cylinder
Fig. 15.68. Fasteners clutch master cylinder

Remove the nuts securing the master cylinder to the wall of the engine compartment. A nut is on the wall of the engine compartment, and the second - under the dashboard on the brake pedal bracket (Fig. 15.68).
Carefully remove the cylinder from the stem and pull it out through the wall of the engine compartment.
Setting
Carefully insert the cylinder through the wall of the engine compartment, and insert the stem. Screw the nuts tightening them by hand.
Attach to the master cylinder hydraulic clutch actuator tube slightly manipulating the cylinder so that the screw fitting of the tube into the threaded hole in the cylinder. Do not damage the thread when screwing the union.
Tighten the nuts and pipe fitting of a hydraulic drive.
Fill the tank with the clutch brake fluid, DOT-compliant 3, and remove air from a hydraulic drive.
Attach the wire to the negative terminal of the battery and check before you go to work the clutch.

Clutch slave cylinder
Withdrawal
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Lift the car and fix on supports.
Disconnect the hydraulic drive of the clutch slave cylinder. Recommended for loosening the union to hold the phone ring spanner to prevent twisting the tube together with the union. Pre substitute vessel or enclose rags as when disconnecting the tube may leak hydraulic fluid.

Fasteners clutch slave cylinder
Fig. 15.69. Fasteners clutch slave cylinder

Unscrew the clutch slave cylinder and remove it (Fig. 15.69).
Setting
Install the slave cylinder to the clutch housing and make sure the cylinder rod went into recess clutch fork, tighten the bolts.
Attach the tube to the cylinder of the hydraulic actuator and tighten the fitting, being careful not to damage the threads.
Fill the tank with the clutch master cylinder brake fluid, DOT-compliant 3.
Remove air from a hydraulic drive.
Attach the wire to the negative terminal of the battery and check before you go to work the clutch.

Bleeding of the hydraulic clutch (pumping)
Removal of air is necessary to carry out when removing any element of the hydraulic actuator or decrease the liquid level, wherein a clutch cylinder air enters. The work is similar to the removal of air from the brake system (pumping).
Fill the tank with fresh clutch master cylinder brake fluid, DOT-compliant 3.

A WARNING
When removing the air is not allowed the use of used or stored for a long time in an open container of liquid.

For access to the working cylinder lift the car and fix on supports.
Remove from the union of removal of air dust cap and put on the union section of plastic hose. Place the end of the hose in a clean container with brake fluid, poured to a level of about 5 cm. The end of the hose must be submerged in liquid.
Ask the assistant to press the clutch pedal and hold it down. Remove bleed nipple on the working cylinder, so that the liquid in the glass container. During fluid leakage screw fitting. After that, ask the assistant to release the pedal.
Repeat this cycle as long as air will not be completely removed from the system, as evidenced by the absence of bubbles in the liquid collection tank and the liquid flowing through the hose at each pedal is depressed. Keep an eye on the liquid level in the feed tank. Excessive lowering system can be sucked into the air, causing the need for re-pumping.
Install the dust cap and lower the car. Check the operation of the clutch.
