Diagnostics

Preliminary checks

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Warm up the engine and gearbox to normal operating temperature.
2. Check the transmission fluid level:
a) if the level is too low, add a liquid and repeat the test;
b) if the level is too high, drain the excess fluid;
c) If the liquid foams, drain it and pour a new one. Check whether the liquid gets the engine cooling system in the transmission fluid.
3. Check engine idle speed.
4. Check the throttle cable.
5. Check the operation of the gearshift.

Finding leaks

If you find that leaking transmission fluid, it is necessary to accurately determine its location. To do this, warm up the engine and set the car on a clean sheet of cardboard. After a few minutes, you can easily locate the leak of spots formed on the cardboard.
