The system interlock



Model cars, which are installed in automatic transmissions are equipped with interlocking. The system interlock consists of two subsystems: the system locks the gear lever and the ignition locking system.

Ignition interlock system does not allow to get the key from the ignition when the shift lever is not set in the parking position.

The system locks the gear lever does not allow to move the lever from the parking position to any other, unless the brake pedal is pressed.

The system locks the gear lever consists of a sensor transmission, the shift lever lock mechanism, switch parking brake pedal switch, cable lock the ignition lock and emergency switch.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
The mechanism locks the gear lever
1. Check fuses 15A and 20A METER STOP. If necessary, replace fuses and check the circuit from the locking mechanism to the fuse box.
2. Remove the center console.
3. Set the gear lever in the park position.
4. Remove the display position of the lever.
5. Remove the 4-pin connector from the lock mechanism (arrow).
6. Turn on the ignition. When connected to a terminal 2 of the voltmeter should read battery voltage. If not, check the ignition circuit.
7. Turn off the ignition. When connected to a contact 1 voltmeter should show the battery voltage. If not, check the fuse circuit 20A STOP.
Switch parking position
8. Locate the switch connector (C - switch connector wires parking In - locking mechanism, A - emergency switch lock).
9. Connect an ohmmeter to terminals socket switch. The chain should be closed.
10. Install the gear shift lever in any other position, except for parking. The circuit breaker must be open in all other positions.
11. If necessary, replace the switch.

Replacement of components

PERFORMANCE ORDER
The mechanism locks the gear lever
1. Remove the central console.
2. Disconnect the mechanism.
3. Unscrew the two screws and two nuts locking mechanism.
4. Remove the mechanism.
5. Installation is spent upside-down removals.
Wire ignition lock
6. Remove the center console.

7. Remove the four screws position indicator gear lever and remove the indicator.

8. Loosen the lock nut of a rope.
9. Disconnect the cable from the bracket.
10. Remove the lower part of the dashboard.
11. Remove the upper and lower steering column cover.

12. Remove the screw and remove the cable bracket.
13. Disconnect the cable from the ignition lock cylinder.
14. Remove the wire.
15. Installation is spent upside-down removals.
