Basic tool
When carrying out repair work on your car, use only complete and a good tool. Check it out before you get started. When buying, choose only a tool made from high quality materials. If you are repairing a car from time to time, then you will have enough for the next set of tools:

1. Set of screwdrivers with a non-slip handle for slotted, Phillips and Torx-screws (Fig. 2.2).

2. A set of open-end and ring wrench (Fig. 2.3). Good to have duplicate keys in sizes from 6 to 19 mm. With SW 10, 13, 17 and 19 mm, it is desirable to have a combined (ring / open-end).

4. A set of hex key (Fig. 2.5) in sizes from 2 to 8 mm.

5. pliers 1 (Fig. 2.6), multi-purpose pliers 2 and 3 movable pliers.

6. A set of hammers, consisting of a steel hammer 1 (Fig. 2.7) used for the work drum (recommended weight - about 300 g), aluminum and plastic 2 3 hammers used for red-hot cast parts and bearings.

7. Kerner 1 (Fig. 2.8) for drilling operations in metal chisel 2 (a hardened working part) to loosen rusted nuts and bolts and 3 punches (diameter of 3 and 6 mm) for work on the chassis, the engine and the brakes.

8. To work with elements of electrical equipment and circuits are recommended for electrical pliers 1 (Fig. 2.9) for connectors and cable connections, universal pliers with insulated handles 2, 3 electric probe with a wire of "weight" and a screwdriver with an insulated handle 4.

9. To work with the engine and a set of car is recommended Socket 1 (Fig. 2.10), the size of 10-32 mm and a ratchet handle to the tip 2 1/2 inches. Set cheaper than buying all components individually. For jobs in the cabin should also have a set of mechanical heads with ratchet handle with tip 1/4 inch. Along with cross, slotted, Torx-screws and synthetic latches providers often put the screws to the SW from 6 to 13 mm.
PRACTICAL ADVICE Tool kit in your car Check your car staffing tool, as a tool, which is stored in the garage, will not help you on the road. A jack with a screwdriver and your vehicle is already equipped with. 1 Place the lantern (Fig. 2.11). When poor contact or cable break will help you universal pliers 2, spare electrical wire and electrical tape 3 4. You should also have a set of light bulbs and fuses 7, 5, 9, tow rope, a set of wires to start the engine 6 and 8 to brace the wheels. |
