The brake system

Cars are equipped with two braking systems, working independently of each other - the service and parking. In the event of failure of one of the systems of the vehicle can be stopped with the help of the other. The system is divided into two circuits.
The first is responsible for the front wheel brake and the second - the rear. Failure of one circuit, for example due to leakage, the vehicle can be stopped by another circuit. In this case, in order to obtain the same braking performance as in the intact brake system, it is necessary to press the brake pedal with a considerably larger force. Pedal stroke increases, and the braking distance is much longer.
Working (foot) hydraulic braking system on models Mercedes E-Class consists of a master cylinder, booster and disc brakes front and rear wheels. The pressure in the two brake circuits created in a dual master cylinder with the brake pedal is depressed.
