Installation of the front axle



Installation of the front axle should be carried out as follows:
- Slowly raising jack, bring the front axle to the point of its attachment. The bridge must enter the guide pins. At the top of strut enter the corresponding holes in the body. Pre-installed on the rack rubber feet. Raise the bridge to the end;

- The two shown in Fig. 204 bolts (pos. 16 in fig. 198) into the holes and evenly in several steps to tighten bolts and a torque of 90-100 Nm;

- Set the wheels straight. This should match the label on the gear rack and pinion and housing, as shown in Fig. 205;

- To establish joint of the intermediate shaft to the gear (see Fig. 201), tighten the screw (pos. 6 to Fig. 198) and tighten to 25-30 Nm;
- Slowly lower engine support, tighten the bolts to 85 Nm. Remove the lifting device;
- Set the air duct;
- Screw the union nut power steering hoses and tighten them (be sure to remove the previously installed on the hose clamp);
- Shock resistant nuts tighten 90-110 Nm, and close the cover;
- Connect the brake lines to the tee and tighten to 12-16 Nm;
- Connect the wires wear of brake pads and tighten it to a torque of 10 Nm. Check if the wire is laid;
- Set the wheels and tighten bolts of their fastening by hand. After dropping the car to tighten the wheel bolts torque 160-180 Nm;
- Set caps;
- Bleed the brake (see. The relevant section);
- Start up the engine and let it run for a while. Several times turn the steering wheel from one extreme position to another. Stop the engine and check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir. If necessary, add a liquid.
