Removing the rear brake disc

Removing the rear brake disc
Fig. 287. Removing the rear brake disk: 1 - a bolt, 105-110 Nm; 2 - a support arm; 3 - Disc; 4 - bolt 20 Nm

In Fig. 287 is shown mounting the rear brake disc. For removing it must first disassemble the caliper and the caliper bracket, as described previously. Removing the rear brake master cylinder should be carried out in the following order:
- Unscrew the caliper mounting bolts and remove it. Tie it with wire to the rear axle, so it does not hang on the brake hose. When assembling ensure that the brake hose is not twisted and does not rub against other parts;
- Unscrew the bolt of the brake disc. When loosening lift the handbrake lever at the end of the lower back;

Adjusting the parking brake mechanism
Fig. 288. Adjusting the parking brake mechanism

- Before removing the disc pads must overcome the parking brake. To do this, insert a screwdriver as shown in Fig. 288, through the hole in the hub and withdraw gear mounting pad. This is necessary in order to pad away from the drum and do not interfere with removal. Shoot down the disc with a rubber or plastic hammer;
- To reverse the installation disk needs to read the next section. Bolt drive torque to 20 Nm, the caliper mounting bolts - torque 105-115 Nm. After tightening, check again that the brake hose has been placed properly.
The adjustment mechanism of the parking brake must be carried out as follows:
- Insert a screwdriver (Fig. 288) and turn the adjusting mechanism of the parking brake pads;
- Gear to rotate as long as the disk does not stop spinning;
- From this position for 5 to rearrange gear teeth back.
