Engines

In this part of the chapter describes the kinds of works on repair of engines, performed directly on the vehicle. If the engine was removed from the car and understood, some preliminary operations for disassembly can be excluded.

Engines of 1.4 and 1.6 liters of a series of GA, installed on cars Nissan. Engines 16-valve overhead valve, four-cylinder engine arranged in a row and two camshafts. Motor vehicle is located transverse to the axis, in the front part thereof. Transmission for the left side of the engine.

Crankshaft bearing 5. The axial clearance of the crankshaft is governed by the selection of persistent half rings mounted on the upper half of the average radical bearing.

Connecting rod bearings consist of two inserts inserted into the connecting rod and the connecting rod cap. The connecting rods connected to the pistons with the fingers, which move freely in the head of a rod and secured snap rings. Piston cast in aluminum alloy pistons provided on three of the ring - two compression and one oil scraper.

Inlet and outlet valves are closed under the action of the coil springs and move within guide bushings pressed into the cylinder head with the valve seats. With increased wear the seat and the hub can drive out and replace with new ones.

The camshafts are driven by chains and control the 16 valves via pushrods badeynogo type. Pushers are installed under the cam. Gaps in the valves are regulated by adjusting the thickness of special washers. Lower support necks of camshafts are bed bored tides in the cylinder head.

Lubrication of the engine is carried out by an oil pump driven by the crankshaft of the sock. The oil passes through the oil receiver with pre-filter, then through a fine filter, screwed into the engine block, and fed into the oil passages in the cylinder block and crankcase of which is sent to the main bearings of the crankshaft and the camshaft bearing necks. Connecting rod bearings are lubricated under pressure through holes in the crankshaft. Cams camshaft, valve stems and other parts of the engine are lubricated by spraying.
