Electrical



The electrical system of the body includes all light bulbs, lamps and lights, wipers and washer system, electric cabin, as well as switches and connectors.

The electrical system has an operating voltage of 12 volts and a negative ground. Power is supplied to the electrical system from the battery to the 12 volts, which is recharged by a generator.

The system of electrical motor (battery, alternator, starter, ignition, etc.) is described in Section 7.


A warning

Before working on the electrical system read the precautions described below.

In later models the airbag. When working on the electrical system, read the precautions described in section 14.19, in order to avoid possible injuries.


Safety measures

If the radio / the stereo mounted on the car has coding system (such as a standard radio), check before disconnecting the battery, do you know the activation code.

Before connecting cables to any of the electrical equipment, you must disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent short circuits and / or fire.
