On-board electrical network

Electric car circuit consists of switches, relays, motors, fuses or circuit breakers, as well as the on-board electrical network and connectors that connect devices to each other and to the battery and the chassis.
The main elements of on-board electrical network are connecting electrical wires, protection circuits against overloads and short circuits, switching means (Switches) and a variety of connectors and switchgear.
To protect electrical circuits against overload and short-circuit fuses are used pin type.
Most of them are mounted in the mounting block. Circuit the battery charge, the ignition circuit and the engine start-up, a number of relay coils are not protected by fuses.
Before replacing a blown fuse, you must find out the cause of what happened and fix it.
Before you start troubleshooting the circuit, first learn the appropriate wiring diagram and get the complete picture of the members of this chain of parts and devices. Search for possible sources of faults easier if to make sure that other parts and devices, included in this circuit are OK. If several devices or circuits at the same time fail, the problem can probably be linked to a fuse or connecting to the "masses."
Causes of faults in electrical circuits are usually simple - bad connector contact, loose connections to "weight", blown fuse or fault relay. Before starting the test circuit parts inspect all fuses, wires and connectors in the affected circuit. Use the wiring diagram to determine which connectors are required to test for the detection of a fault the place.
The main means of troubleshooting electrical circuits are a tester or voltmeter. Some tests can also be used by the control lamp 12 V with a set of wires, control bulb with its own power supply (to check the circuit for open wires), an ohmmeter (to measure resistance), battery and set of cables, jumper wire, preferably with chopper circuit or fuse, which can be used to bypass checked wires or electrical devices. Before working with the devices examine the wiring diagram to determine the point at which the connection should be carried out.
