The oxygen sensor



The oxygen sensor is installed in the exhaust pipe near the reception of the catalyst. On vehicles with six-cylinder engines equipped with two oxygen sensors.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector, which is located on the partition wall of the engine compartment. Remove the wiring from the sensor bracket.
2. Lift the car and fix on supports.
3. Remove the oxygen sensor from a reception exhaust pipe. On cars with engines 1,8-I unscrewing the oxygen sensor is necessary to use a key VW-3337. In the absence of a special key to access the oxygen sensor is necessary to remove a reception exhaust pipe.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Coat the threads of the oxygen sensor thin layer of grease G5.
When installing a new oxygen sensor thread is already on its greased.
2. Screw the oxygen sensor in a reception exhaust pipe and tighten it to 50 Nm.
3. Lower the car to the ground.
4. Connect the sensor electrical connector and secure the oxygen sensor wiring straps. Check that there is no electrical contact of the oxygen sensor with a reception exhaust pipe.
